Route ALL The SoftstartRV wires into electrical box. Crimp the connectors on the SoftstartRV wires as indicated.
Step 1) Follow the White Compressor wire to the Terminal Board (This would be the “C” on the Run Capacitor), Disconnect and connect it to the Blue SoftstartRV wire.
Step 2) Connect the Black SoftstartRV wire to the Terminal where White Compressor wire was.
Step 3) Disconnect the PTCR and remove the double Red wires. Connect the double Red wires to the terminal the PTCR was on.
Step 4) Disconnect the single Red wire that was next to the PTCR. Then connect the Yellow SoftstartRV wire on the post the single Red was on. Tape end of the Red wire you just removed and drop it.
Step 5) Disconnect the Black Compressor wire from the Circuit Board (It is the Center wire by the post labelled “Freeze”) and connect it to the Brown SoftstartRV wire.
Step 6) Connect the Red SoftstartRV wire to the terminal that the Black Compressor wire was on.
Secure ALL wires to prevent the fan from pulling them in during testing. Turn the Power and A/C breaker on. Turn the Fan on High until you hear it running, then turn the A/C to Auto Cool, set the Thermostat to 55 and go look for the Green Light on the SoftstartRV. (There may be a full 3 min delay if unit is in test mode) If light is not green after 4min shut down and call Tech Support. If the GREEN Light is on, then turn the power and A/C off, replace all the covers and turn the A/C back on allowing it to run for approximately 30 minutes at about 2 degrees below the outside temperature letting it cycle a few times. IF no Green Light comes on after 4 minutes shut the A/C down and contact Tech Support, www.softstartrv.com/support and fill out a ticket.
